  • - Myotonia congenita

Symptoms

Symptoms vary with the different types of muscular dystrophy.

  • - Delayed development of muscle motor skills.
  • - Difficulty using one or more muscle groups.
  • - Drooling.
  • - Frequent falls.
  • - Loss of strength in a muscle or group of muscles as an adul.
  • - Loss in muscle size.
  • - Problems walking (delayed walking).

Inflammatory Myopathy

  • - Difficulty swallowing.
  • - Muscle pain.
  • - Muscle weakness in the proximal muscles (shoulders, hips, etc.)
